People and ideas motivate Joey Spivey.
“I was inspired to expand my human resources and leadership focus by two learning and development colleagues who challenged me to be the best version of myself,” Joey says. “Today, I am constantly inspired by our Chief Human Resources Officer April King and my colleagues on the Wellabe human resources team I work with each day.”
As a Senior Learning and Development Specialist, Joey supports Wellabe’s talent strategy by designing, implementing, and managing learning growth and employee engagement programs. Some of his key focuses are Wellabe’s skills-based work program, mentoring program, employee and team coaching, and leadership development.
“I enjoy getting to bring a program from a spark to an idea, to a plan, to implementation, and finally to impact,” he says.
With so much opportunity ahead in his role, Joey has a lot of hope for the next five years.
“I hope to bring innovative employee development programs to Wellabe,” Joey says. “I want to challenge how we think about learning today, in order to build a new way of thinking about learning tomorrow.”
