John Salmon’s journey into information technology (IT) wasn’t planned. It began when a service desk position opened at his previous job, and his coworkers encouraged him to apply.

“I really enjoyed the role and decided to purse IT as a career,” John recalls.

John said the team he works with influenced his decision to join Wellabe as a cloud engineer.

“Zhen Li has been a mentor to me from the moment I started,” he says.

In his role, John focuses on monitoring and maintaining Azure infrastructure. His duties have also expanded into disaster recovery implementation, which has allowed him to grow and learn new technology.

“I am proud of the positive effects my solutions have provided the business, and how they’ve improved many teams’ productivity,” he says. “The biggest reward is knowing that not only what I am doing helps my coworkers but is also allowing our customers to get more from us.”
